This is my last academic planner! It’s so surreal to say & kind of unbelievable. I don’t even know how to process the fact that I am no longer going to have any classes or assignments after December. BUT until then, I have my Erin Condren Academic Planner for the Spring, Summer, & Fall semester. The Erin Condren Academic Planner is a 12 month planner that is coiled & undated. There is a Project & Exam section in the front of the planner. Then each month has a weekly view for assignments, due dates, & to do lists as well as 4 lined note pages.
Everything I use to set up my Academic Planner:
- Mini Monthly Adhesive Tabs
- Metallic Sticker Sheet
- Metallic Date Dots
- Colorful Date Dots
- Sticker Book
- A+ Style Sticker Book
- Customizable Event Stickers
- Sticky Notes
- Paper Tape
- Colorful Circles Sticker Pack
Projects & Exams
I am going by due date for Projects & Exams. For example, if my midterm for my marketing course is due in March then I would write that on the March page.
Monthly View
This will be a quick overview of the month. I am using the Colorful Circle Sticker Pack to colour code each class for each month with dark, medium, & light stickers of that month’s colour (Example: January is blue, February is pink, etc.). One class will always be dark, one will always be medium, and the other will always be light. For this semester I made my online class dark, Tuesday class medium, & Wednesday class light so it’s also in order. By each class’ dot will be every assignment, quiz, case study, and project due. I love having this overview so when I go into my planner, I can see if there is a lot of assignment due for the week.
Weekly View
So I have an online course that loads all of the assignments for the week on Monday, a class on Tuesday, & a class on Wednesday that meets-every-other week. So I put all course information for each class on those days. The date box will have class title/information. For the middle box, I keep the first two lines for university or class announcements. For example, on Weekly View #2 there is a sticker for “No Class” under the announcement box so that I know that there is no class that day. Under To Do, I will put anything I need to do for that assignment that is next to it in the middle box or when it is due. Then I will check it off once it’s finished. Most of the assignments are due on Sundays so I am going to have a big checklist on Sunday. I will also use the Weekly View to mark when I: study, meet with other student groups, meet for group projects, etc.Notes
There are 4 note pages at the end of each month. Each page will be for a course & have it’s Customizable Event Sticker Course Label at the top. I am going to insert syllabus information for that month for each class on these pages. I always go back to the syllabus to double check information so having it in my planner will make it 1000% more convenient.
I only had one full syllabus to work with on this blog post so I will be sharing more of my Academic Planner when I get all of my syllabi’s for the semester. I will also be sharing each week’s layout/spread on Instagram! If y’all have any questions don’t hesitate to contact me!
