Work Style

It can be really hard to find work clothes that are in “dress code.” I used to always look on Pinterest for inspiration but they normally included short skirts and ripped jeans that you couldn’t wear to work.

The best way to put outfits together for work is to get all of the pieces: blazers, pencil skirts, blouses, camisoles, ankle and slim-legged pants, as well as simple and statement jewelry. I generally stick with neutrals that you can mix & match for work. I also try to find pieces that I would wear from the office to happy hour after work.

Finding these pieces can be difficult. I generally get my work clothes from Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, & Target. Nordstrom Rack and Target have the best price point ranging from $10 to $40 for most pieces as well as a wide selection of business casual to business formal pieces.

All of my blazers are from Target (all under $40), all of my pencil skirts are from Nordstrom Rack (always under $20), & all of my work heels are Sam Edleman from Nordstrom but you can also find them at Nordstrom Rack. I like to find surplice, button up, and v neck tops. They’re generally versatile and you can wear them everyday as well as to work. I use my Louis Vuitton Neverfull and Tory Burch Robinson Tote for work. Tory Burch has the best totes for work; they’re professional, durable, and can fit everything.
