Our living room is finally complete! So I wanted to share an inside look of our living room. I live in a apartment with my boyfriend. I love our apartment complex, we have a HUGE closet, amazing layout, & most important our own YARD. I loved the way our living room turned out because it’s a mixture of both of our personalities. We both love simple, classic/retro, and all things comic related.
The couch was the first piece & from there I wanted to find a marble or oak coffee table. On the coffee table we have a gold pineapple from my boyfriend’s mom that I LOVE Austin Coasters that I picked up at ACL last year. Our coffee table books that we keep on the bottom shelf of the coffee table are actually Marvel, DC, & Starwars Encyclopedias.
We keep a Lace Erin Condren Sherpa in the basket on the side of the couch & tied all of our living room together with a white carpet.
On the wall I wanted a iron & Roman numeral clock. Then did a Gold Home Sweet Home Art Print & a customized Art Print with a Black & White picture of us to tie all of the colours together.
We wanted to display our comic collection somehow so I ordered these wall baskets to put our comics in & placed it above the TV. One for DC & one for Marvel. Then we added some comic wood decor.
Home automation is really big in our apartment. We have a August Smart Lock on our door & the best part it is apartment friendly! You simply replace the back of your lock. The front stays the same & you can still use your key! These locks work with Apple HomeKit, Android Phones, & Google Assistant. We replaced our lights with Phillips Hue Lights that work with the same platforms! So on our phones we can turn lights off & on as well as lock and unlock our door. We also use Google Assistant on our JBL Speaker so we can say “Hey Google, turn off the lights” when we’re leaving the room & then our lights our off!
Other than that we keep the Record Player, Super Nintendo Class Mini, Nintendo Switch, & Speakers in the living room for entertainment.
