Pet Notebook.

It’s National Mutt Day! So I wanted to share how I turned one of my EC Notebooks into a Dog Notebook! Inside the notebook contains:

  • Pet Information. Vet Information, Microchip #, Breed, DOB, Adoption Information, & Appearance Information
  • Examinations & Deworming Information. Date & Results of Physical & Annual exams
  • Heartworm Screening, Prevention & Treatment. Procedure, Result, & SPT Information
  • Immunization Records. Vaccine Information
  • Medical History. Condition, Surgery, & Appliances
  • Hospitalizations. Injuries, Illnesses, & Procedures
  • Medications. Date & Medications Given with next Medication Date (if needed)
  • Dietary Routine.Brand, Type, Formula, Amount & Frequency of Food
  • Weight Tracking. Date & Weight
  • Dental Information. Dental Care or Exams
  • Monthly Vet Information. Tests & Results, Behaviour Notes for Vet, & Pet Visit/Appointment Log

I have two dogs so I sectioned off the notebook by using a picture printed out by my Polaroid Zip & added a Coil Clip to make a bookmark/section mark with each dog’s picture. I added pockets to each dog’s page to keep official shot records or appointment cards in the notebook. The last half of the notebook is divided into months & where I put: vet visits, lab results for each visit, or any activity with my dogs that are unusual or that I need to tell the vet about (for example, car sickness or irregular behavior or sickness/symptoms). This has everything need I need in one place just in case I need someone to watch my dogs, for vet appointments, & even for emergencies such as illnesses & accidents.

ABOUT MY DOGS

I have two dogs, Leia & Mera. I adopted Leia from the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter & I adopted Mera with my boy friend from Austin Pets Alive. Leia is about 2 years old, is a pitbull terrier mix, & was named after Princess Leia from Starwars. I adopted her when she was about 3.4 pounds & only 6 weeks old. Mera is about 7 months old, is a black lab mix & was named after Queen Mera of Atlantis from Aquaman. We adopted her when she was about 4 months old & she’s growing quickly. Both dogs are completely different. Leia is beyond hyper & Mera is very relaxed. Leia is not afraid of anything & Mera is afraid of everything (it’s the cutest thing to watch). I love them both & couldn’t ask for better dogs!
