This weekend was my second trip to New Orleans. For this guide, I will be sharing some of my favourite spots we went to as well as spots you HAVE to go! I will be using photos from both trips for this guide. The last time I went to New Orleans was for my 23rd birthday & it was in December, so you’ll see a mixture of Spring & Winter photos.

New Orleans To Do List

Tips

Bring a lot of cash. Especially if you are attending a festival. This is probably the most important tip. A lot of places only accept cash & if you are going with a group of people then it also makes it much easier to pay for things when you’re out!
Airbnb. Stay at a Airbnb. We did both times & loved it. They’re much cheaper & you can find really nice New Orleans-styled houses!
Transportation. Walking is the best way away. Take a trolley for the experience & to go somewhere close (too many stops). Take a Lyft or Uber for long distances.
Souvenirs. There are so many different places to find souvenirs like Mardi Gras masks, beads, voo doo dolls, etc. Look around, especially for better pricing.

Cafe Du Monde

If you go to New Orleans, you HAVE to go to Cafe Du Monde.

Royal Street

Probably one of the most photographed building of New Orleans.

Brennan’s

I HIGHLY recommend Brennan’s. THE best Banana’s Foster & the best place for a fine dinner.

New Orleans City Park

The City Park is full of beautiful trees and bridges. There are also a lot of things to do such as: Botanical Garden, Carousel Gardens, City Putt, City Splash, Golf, Morning Call, Museum of Art and Sculpture Garden, Storyland & Train Garden.
