Travel Plans

Ever since the Erin Condren Travel Journal came out I have loved planning every trip in this Petite Planner from weekend getaways to traveling to different states. It literally holds everything you need! It holds all of your reservations & travel information. It can also be used to plan what you’re going to pack, your travel itinerary, and daily travel information.

My favourite Erin Condren travel essentials are the PetitePlanner Travel Journal, the new On The Go Folio, the Travel Dashboard to put in my LifePlanner for the extended packing list, the on the GO! ID tags for your suitcase or bag, & the Oversized Tote to throw everything in!

I planned every detail of my birthday trip to NYC in my Erin Condren Travel Journal:
Reservations & To Dos: I used Google to search for plane tickets & found the cheapest and best tickets through Jet Blue. Both are direct flights from Austin to JFK Airport/NYC & my ticket was only about $220 ROUNDTRIP!
Packing List: I pack extremely light (surprisingly) but mainly just so I can buy new things while I’m there! 😉 On my packing list I write the type of item (jeans, tank, jacket, etc.) & the quantity of what I’m going to pack & in the Daily Adventures part of the planner you can write exactly what you’re wearing in detail.
Places to Visit: This is where research comes in and you can write down all of the landmarks, entertainment, shops, & restaurants you find! I like to use Pinterest, Instagram, & Yelp. I’ll find articles & lists of places on Pinterest and then look them up on Instagram Places & Yelp to see reviews & photos.
Travel Itinerary: The planner has 7 spots to plan a full week, my trips have been 3 to 4 days so I’ve been using the extra boxes to plan the trip. I like to have a general idea of what I’m going to do so it makes it easier during the trip. These plans aren’t set in stone, if something does happen or we pass by something else on the trip then we’ll switch things up. But I like just to have an outline to make sure we don’t miss anything and so that we can see everything we want to see! For NYC, we’ll be there 4 days & 3 nights. So after I made my lists on the previous page on the “Places to Visit,” I divided them up by where they (pretty much) are: north, central, & south NYC on the spare 3 boxes. So on Day 1-4, I wrote which area we’ll go to & we’ll spend the day there to see those landmarks & entertainment places and then we’ll play the shops & restaurants by ear unless there’s a reservation.
Daily Adventures: This is where you can plan your outfits, meals, what you’re going to see, mark reservations & track the weather, expenses, memories, & add other information for the day. I use this Petite Planner to plan more than I use it as a journal. So when it’s closer to the trip, I use these pages to write down reservations/ticket information and plan events .
